Before proceeding with wax removal, it's crucial to understand the type of wax used on your car. Natural carnauba waxes require different removal techniques compared to synthetic polymer waxes. Knowing the type of wax can guide you in choosing the right products and methods for removal. When buying the products, check to make sure it can handle the right type of wax you need to remove.
The first step in removing wax is to thoroughly wash your car. Use a high-quality car wash soap that can help break down the wax. Avoid using dish soap or detergents as they can strip away protective coatings and damage the paint. Wash your car in a shaded area to prevent the sun from drying the soap too quickly, which can leave water spots and residue.
After washing, use a clay bar to remove any wax residue and contaminants from the paint surface. There are many clay bar detailing kits that provide everything you need to clay bar your car. Glide the clay bar gently across the car’s surface after applying a lubricant, such as a detailing spray.
Benefits of using our Nexgen Clay Bar Detail Kit:
This process will not only remove wax but also any embedded contaminants, leaving the surface smooth and clean. Remember if you drop the clay bar, to get a new one. Otherwise you’re rubbing contaminants into your paint, with potential to scratch it!
Pre-wax cleaners are specially formulated to remove old wax while preparing the paint for a new coat. Apply the cleaner with a microfiber cloth and work in a circular motion. These cleaners are mild and safe for most paint finishes, effectively dissolving the wax without harming the underlying paint.
For stubborn wax residue, you can use a dual-action polisher with a soft foam pad. Be cautious with mechanical removal methods, as improper use can damage the paint. We wouldn’t recommend you do this unless you have experience operating a polisher. If you want to do it yourself remember to always start with a low-speed setting and gradually increase as needed. Again this method is more suited for those with experience in car detailing.
Dish soaps are formulated to tackle tough grease and may be too harsh for automotive paint. Regular use can strip away essen tial oils from the paint, leading to drying out and potential damage over time. Along with wax, it can remove other protective layers like sealants, potentially leaving the paint more vulnerable to elements like UV rays, dirt, and pollutants.
Dish soaps can leave behind residues that are not ideal for automotive surfaces and might affect the adhesion of new wax or paint protection products. You can mitigate this by using a panel prep product, but you’re better off avoiding the dish soap all together. If you decide to use Dawn dish soap, consider it as a last resort for heavy wax buildup and not as part of your regular car washing routine. After using dish soap, it's important to thoroughly rinse and follow up with a proper automotive soap wash to remove any residue.
Yes, you can, Vinegar, being mildly acidic, can help in breaking down and dissolving wax. This is why it's sometimes used as a DIY solution for wax removal. If you choose to use vinegar, it should be diluted with water. A common ratio is a mixture of one part vinegar to three parts water. It works for thin layers of wax, but anything thick vinegar won’t be effective..
Since vinegar is acidic, it could damage your car’s paint or clear coat. Prolonged exposure to vinegar can etch or dull the paint surface. Always make sure you remove any traces of vinegar to remove the acidic residue if you decide to use it. Stay clear of rubber deals, plastic trim, or glass, as vinegar can cause discoloration.
Determining whether you've successfully removed all the wax from your car's paint involves a few key steps and observations:
One of the most straightforward ways to check if there's still wax on your car is to observe how water behaves on the surface. Wax typically causes water to bead up due to its hydrophobic properties. After your cleaning process, spray water on the car's surface. If the water still forms tight beads, there's likely some wax residue remaining. In contrast, if the water sheets off or forms very loose beads, most of the wax has likely been removed.
After washing and drying your car, conduct a thorough visual inspection in good lighting. Wax residues might leave a slightly hazy or cloudy appearance on the paint. Look for any unevenness in the paint's shine, which can indicate areas where wax might still be present.
Run your fingers over the paint's surface. A fully de-waxed surface should feel less slick and more like the natural paint. If it still feels unusually smooth or slippery, there might be some wax left.
You can use a detailing clay bar after washing your car, which is specifically convenient if you’ve clay barred your vehicle.. Glide the clay over the surface with a lubricant. If there’s still wax present, the clay bar can pick it up. The resistance you feel while using the clay bar can also indicate the presence of wax.
Stick a piece of masking tape on the car's surface. If the tape adheres strongly, it suggests the wax has been removed, as wax can prevent tape from sticking properly. However, this method should be used with caution, as it might not be conclusive and can potentially harm the paint if not done carefully.
Remember, it's important to be gentle during these tests to avoid damaging the paint. If you find that there is still wax present, you may need to repeat the cleaning process, focusing more on the areas where wax was detected.
We would never recommend applying a ceramic coating or ceramic spray over wax. Ceramic products need to bond directly with the paint. Wax creates a barrier, preventing proper adhesion and leading to poor performance of the ceramic coating The protective and hydrophobic qualities of ceramic coatings are going to fail, reducing their ability to protect and repel water. You should always use a clean and free from wax surface for the ceramic to bond properly.
Removing wax from a vehicle isn’t difficult if you know what to expect. The right prep work and tools make a big difference. By spending on top tier products, you’ll avoid damaging the paint, and have a surface ready for whatever you plan to do next, whether it be another wax or a ceramic coat.

How To Easily Remove Scratches From Your Car At Home
We can all agree that a foggy windshield can put a damper on your drive. Most of us have spent time sitting in the driveway with the car's defogger on, waiting until the glass is clear before we can safely head to work. Even if you park in a garage, having the heater on in your car can cause the windows to fog up during your drive.
Today's golden question is, how do we prevent car windows from fogging up in the first place? Sit back, put the napkins and mini window squeegee away, and follow along for the best way to stop your car windows from fogging up.
Why Do Car Windows Fog Up?
When cold air comes into contact with a warm surface, condensation occurs. Fog and condensation are one in the same. Both created by millions of microscopic water droplets sticking to slick surfaces, like glass and plastic. Condensation occurs rapidly in tightly closed spaces, especially when multiple people or pets are in the car with you. Each breath adds to the fog.
Another cause of a foggy window can be associated with dirty windows in general. Dirt on your car windows can trap moisture. This is why it’s more important than ever to keep your windows clean during winter.
Car windows fogging up isn’t specific to winter. In fact a warm summer night can be just as problematic, leading to accidents from a driver’s sudden lack of windshield clarity. During winter fog builds up on the inside of the glass. However, if you live in a place where the outside temperature and humidity readings are high, condensation can build up on the exterior of your auto glass.
Here are a few of the most common reasons your auto glass is fogged over:
How To Prevent Car Windows From Fogging Up
While there are simple things you can do to prevent your car glass from fogging up (like wiping off wet clothes, removing any damp towels or sports gear promptly, and making sure your hot beverages are kept in airtight drinking containers) the best course of action is the simplest. Use a quality Anti-Fog Spray.
What Is The Best Car Window Defogger?
The answer to this question is simply, Nexgen Anti-Fog Spray. While many anti-fog sprays require a monthly application, Nexgen Anti-Fog Spray guarantees one year of results. You may think 4oz is small, but given how infrequently it needs to be applied, you go through very little of it. Whereas a competitor will have you running back to the store every few months.
So what is it that makes Nexgen’s product so superior? Nexgen’s Anti-Fog Spray is manufactured with specialized surfactants and functional silicones that are proven to prevent fog 5x better than other products on the market.
Nexgen’s Anti-Fog Spray is also more versatile than others. You can safely use it on all of the glass and plastic in your car. Including visors, screens, and even your glasses or goggles. I would go as far as to state that Nexgen in general makes the best car maintenance products on the market. Each product is guaranteed to give you prodigious results. Additionally, each product is made in the USA, and backed by a 30 day money back guarantee.
Not only is a foggy windshield unsafe, it can slow down your mornings and add time to your commute. The solution is simple: If you want to prevent car windows from fogging up, start with the right product. You’ll save time, money, and some grief.
It’s said that time heals all wounds. This might be true when it comes to people but doesn't apply to vehicles. In fact, the passage of time will have quite the opposite effect on cars, resulting in faded paint and all sorts of marks, spots, and scratches.
If you own a car, you know its upkeep is not packed with glam. As much as we love our cars, they can be a hassle. From expensive repairs to gas, parking tickets, and washes, cars come with expenses and duties...including keeping them in tiptop shape.
While the mechanical and electrical parts of your car are also exposed to wear and tear, its paint is usually what takes the most obvious hit.
Before answering “what does ceramic coating do for your car,” let’s quickly look at the main threats and contaminants your beloved ride’s surface faces:
Unless you keep your car tucked away safely in a garage for all eternity, you’re bound to deal with road grime sooner or later.
Most people think grime is simply dirt when, in fact, it’s a combination of toxic contaminants such as oil brake dust, bitumen, additives, unburnt fuel, iron, and more. So, as you can guess, grime is harmful and very hard to deal with. So, if you wonder what does ceramic coating do for your car when it comes to grime, thankfully, a lot — more on that below.
Did you know that parking your car underneath a big, luscious tree could mean trouble for the paint? Tree sap is actually one of the most tenacious substances on the planet. It clings to the car’s exterior like cement, and to remove it, you’ll need a proper solvent. Avoid parking beneath large trees whenever possible, or if you can’t, be sure to give your car a thorough wash afterward.
It’s hard to imagine that water may cause damage. But, in fact, if you wash your car and don’t dry it properly, water droplets can leave behind spots that are a total pain to remove.
Rock chips are small stone fragments, usually found at the bottom of the road. They may seem harmless but can damage your ride's exterior if not repaired quickly.
The paint on your car is durable but not invincible! If you drive through a car wash that uses an abrasive cleaner or use one yourself, you risk scratching the paint and reducing the car’s resale value. Abrasive cleaners are especially dangerous for cars with metallic paint.
Another contaminant you should be careful with is bird droppings. They can be corrosive, so keep your eyes open and remove them off the surface as soon as you spot them. Otherwise, they'll eat straight through the clear coat.
The average car owner has probably tried waxing their vehicle at least once with incredible results since wax is designed to give your car that impressive head-turning glossy finish.
But not so many car owners know what a ceramic coating is or what ceramic coating does for your car. Simply put: if waxing your car is great, ceramic coating is the absolute next level.
Designed to boost your car’s shine while delivering unmatched paint protection, car ceramics are applied to the vehicle's exterior as a liquid or a paste. Once dried, the material forms an extremely hard and smooth surface which protects the car and improves its aesthetic appeal.
Ceramic car coatings are ideal for new and used cars, SUVs, trucks, and vans. They protect your car’s surface from scratches and dings, and are great as a barrier against UV rays. Easy to apply and maintain, they will keep your vehicle looking beautiful for years to come.
What does ceramic coating do for your car? So much you’ll never want to go back to just waxing.
Ceramic coating is an incredibly resistant, non-metallic, chemical-resistant material that's applied as a liquid onto the car’s paint, creating a durable surface layer. It can last for years, even when exposed to high temperatures and harsh conditions.
When using DIY ceramic coatings though, you need to be aware that they won’t last as long as professional ones. And since not all ceramic coating products are created equal, researching products and ensuring they are suitable for the job is very important.
Nexgen Ceramic Spray — with its 13% silicon dioxide — is the most concentrated DIY ceramic coating on the market. This makes it extremely effective at keeping out UV rays and reducing the ability for contaminants to streak, scratch, and degrade the clear coat and vehicle paint.
It also creates a lasting hydrophobic barrier that causes water to be instantly repelled from the surface.
If you were wondering, “what does ceramic coating do for your car,” hopefully this article has cleared some of your questions.
Applying a ceramic coating to your car is the best thing you can do if you want to extend the longevity of the paint — and achieve a magazine-worthy shine.
Unlike professional products, a DIY ceramic coating is easy to apply and very effective in protecting you from the costs of repair jobs.

Most car owners will tell you that when it comes to their roadster, there’s nothing they wouldn’t do to keep it as sleek and beautiful as day one. If that means frequent washes, complex car care procedures, or expensive car care products, then so be it. Car owners are willing to pay the price to keep their four-wheeled baby looking like it just rolled out of the showroom.
So then, as you know, car scratches and marks can be a huge pain. Moreover, if you don’t take care of them right away, they can start to look like rust spots. While paint scratch repair kits are available, many of them don’t work very well. So it’s best to get rid of the marks as soon as possible.
If you’re interested in finding out how to remove light scratches from your car without burning your budget, you are in the right place. This guide will teach you everything you need to know, from preventing them in the first place to removing existing ones.
Car scratches, regardless if deep or micro, can occur in many different ways. The most common causes are improper washing and road debris like rocks, pebbles, and tree branches that can get lodged in your vehicle's wheel wells.
Road distractions or incidental appearances — i.e., a dog crossing the road while you are driving fast — can also lead to small bumps or incidents resulting in scratches.
Moreover, tight parking spots or driving in heavy-traffic areas are also major culprits.
Read on if you want to learn how to remove scratches from your car’s paint, as well as learn about the most common types of scratches you can see on a car, and what you need to get rid of them.
The most obvious, and the type that most people are familiar with, is the superficial scratch. This is when the paint is scratched off from the car's surface — often easy to see on cars with a glossy finish or smooth paint as this type of scratch is more visible.
There are also two other major types of scratches: surface-level and underlying. Most surface-level scratches will be either chips or dents. Chips are larger, slightly deeper scratches that go all the way through the surface of the paint. Chips can be caused by hitting another object or by someone who is not careful while cleaning their car.
When a car hits another object or something in its path, it is likely to dent the bumper or other parts of the bodywork. Denting can be caused by hitting a curb, rock, or other objects while driving. In addition, dents can also be caused by people who are not careful when cleaning their car or when trying to fix it themselves.
Underlying scratches are caused by something below the surface, such as rust.
When it comes to fixing them, surface-level scratches can be repaired with an abrasive polish or wax treatment. Underlying scratches will require a chemical compound.
Having said this, let’s have a look at how to remove scratches from a car. Don’t worry, it doesn’t take any advanced skills or impressive car knowledge to learn how to repair scratches, but it does require you to carefully follow and implement the steps below.
If you do get a scratch and wonder how to remove it from your car, there are different things you can do at home without needing to take your vehicle to the body shop.
To get started repairing car scratches, you first need to gather all the materials. This includes a scratch and swirl remover product, a clay bar, a polishing pad, a microfiber towel, and water.
Before you attempt to repair scratches in the paint, you will want to make sure that the car is clean. A car wash will not cut it here. You will need to get a detailing clay bar and rub it over the paint to remove any contaminants on the surface.
Once you have done this, you can move on to the next step.
Once you have your product, you will want to apply it to both the car and the pad. You can use Nexgen Scratch and Swirl Remover since it’s a professional scratch removal product created to smoothly remove all swirls and minor scratches.
You will want to ensure that you are using enough product and that it’s evenly distributed to cover the entire area where the scratch or swirl marks are located. This will help you get the best results possible.
When you’re done, use a dry microfiber towel to remove residue if there's any left. This is how you effectively learn how to remove scratches from a car — by pulling at all the stops.
Once you have applied the product and let it sit for a few minutes, you will want to start polishing and working the product into the scratches. You will also want to make sure that you are moving the buffer in a back and forth motion — and are keeping the buffer moving. This will prevent you from creating swirls.
Finally, you will need to clean your car. You can use a waterless car wash product. This will help keep the paint job nice and shiny for the long term.
And if you want to go the extra mile in keeping the car’s paint protected from future scratches, use Nexgen Ceramic spray. This product is designed to help the paint job last longer, giving it a nice shine. It is easy to apply and works great to keep your car looking good for years to come.
As you can see, scratch removal is not just a job meant for the highly skilled, or for the professional detailers out there. In fact, it’s something that all car owners can do, in the comfort of their own neighborhood, provided they have the right tools and the right knowledge at their disposal.
Although car scratches sound terrible, they have a cure. Indeed, learning how to remove scratches from a car at home is something any car owner can get around to.

Here are three easy steps you can follow if you want to learn how to clean your windshield the right way:
Before getting down to the nitty-gritty, let’s take a look at the kind of tools, products, and materials you’ll need to turn your car’s windshield into invisible glass. Here’s what you’ll need to master how to clean the windshield like a pro:
When it comes to cleaning the interior windshield, there are quite a few different things that you can do. First and foremost, it’s important to get rid of any dirt and debris that has collected in and around its edges.
This is particularly true if you have kids or pets, as there’s a good chance that they'll end up leaving behind some crumbs or hairballs. Once you’ve removed all of the dirt and debris from around the windshield's edges, you can turn your attention to cleaning the glass itself.
You can go through this process by taking turns. Sit in the passenger seat and do that side of the window, and then switch to the driver's seat and repeat.
When cleaning the exterior of your windshield, it’s important to avoid excessive pressure and/or using abrasive cleaning products or tools.
Now that you know how to clean the windshield of your car, you can go through these exact steps each time you need to repeat the process. While you’re at it, you can use the same materials and techniques to clean all your car's windows.
As you can see, learning how to clean your windshield isn't that complicated. It can be done in a few easy steps and will help you keep your vehicle looking its best. So next time you're out and about, take advantage of this simple DIY guide and enjoy a safe ride.

]]>Car care is a mysterious world that many people don’t understand. And because of that, they tend to shy away from it. But if you want to keep your wheely-baby looking new for as long as possible, you need to take care of it. There’s no way around it.
Car detailing is a process that involves washing and polishing the exterior and interior of your vehicle. It’s also a way of keeping your car looking its best. After all, who doesn’t want some car-bragging rights?
In this blog post, we'll tell you everything you need to know about what detailing a car is, the steps for a successful job, and what products to use for best results.
Car detailing is the process of deep cleaning and polishing your car to make it look its best. It's also a way of keeping your car looking new for as long as possible.
So then, how often should you be detailing your car? This will depend on how often you drive and where you live. If you live in a city with lots of traffic, like Los Angeles or New York, there will probably be more road contaminants — i.e., dirt — that will stick to the bottom of your vehicle. That means you should have your car detailed more frequently than someone who lives in a rural area without any traffic.
Someone who doesn’t drive regularly and whose vehicle spends most of the time in the garage would not need their car detailed as often either. The exception to this could be if you live by the beach, and park your car in the open. Saltwater can damage your car by corroding its metal surfaces.
This is the process of cleaning your car interior, including carpets, vinyl and plastic parts, leather seats, and headrests.
Moreover, it also includes cleaning the air vents, seat heaters, door panels, and console. The main aim of interior detailing is to enhance the comfort level of the passengers. For best results, interior detailing requires some microfiber towels, a soft brush, a vacuum cleaner, and specific cleaning products.
This involves cleaning the exterior of your car, including paint, wheels, chrome, and glass. The main aim of exterior detailing is to make your car look brand new by removing dirt and grime and restoring the look of its exteriors. To complete this process, you need to use products specifically designed for the job, such as clay, paint sealant, wax, a wash mitt, and microfiber towels.
Washing your car with just water and a washcloth can do more harm than good.
When you wash your car, dirt and grime are scrubbed off of the surface and could easily get caught in the paint, which will make the car look terrible in no time. And, if you don’t use any wax or polish, the dirt will just keep piercing into the paintwork until it starts to peel.
It's important to always use a high-quality car shampoo that cleans thoroughly while leaving a protective layer so that future dirt won’t affect your vehicle as much.
Microfiber towels are super absorbent, quick-drying, and ideal for drying your car after a cleaning session. They are less likely to leave streaks and scratches on the paint — compared to a regular towel. Moreover, microfiber towels are safe on any car paint, thanks to their soft fabric and high-quality stitching.
A buffer is an essential part of any detailer's arsenal because it can remove scratches and swirl marks from your paintwork in just one go. Buffers are also useful for applying sealants and waxes because they distribute them evenly without having to spend too much time rubbing them on by hand.
When talking about car detailing, you need to learn about waxing and ceramic coating —both important aspects of detailing a car.
The most common reason people decide to get their cars detailed is that they want their vehicles to look brand new. However, if you don’t take care of your car regularly, it won’t look that amazing for long. It will start looking old and worn out as time goes by. Waxing and applying ceramic coating are essential to keeping your car looking good for the long run.
You don’t need to apply both of these products together. Ceramic coating can do the job by itself as it is one of the strongest and most durable car coatings available in the market today. It creates a paint protection film that won't only protect your paint job from any scratches but will also make it easier to maintain.
Before using a ceramic coating, you should first learn how to apply it correctly. Otherwise, you won't get the full benefits.
If there are any dings or bumps, you'll need to take care of them before getting on with the application process, as clean and smooth surfaces are a must. You must also make sure weather conditions are favorable and should avoid applying this type of coating on a rainy day.
When it comes to making your paint shine, there are two main types of polishing: clay and foam.
If your car is in great condition, with no major defects, you can opt for either. Some professional detailers prefer to combine both, depending on the look they want to achieve. For example, if your car is in decent condition with a few minor blemishes, you can opt for a clay and foam combination to smooth out the surface while keeping the underlying blemishes.
While you’re at it, use a clay bar on the wheels too!
The wheels are just as important as the rest of your vehicle when it comes to cleaning, and they can get just as dirty. Clay baring is great for removing the grime that builds up on your wheels over time, and it will leave them looking smooth and shiny.
Keeping your vehicle's interior clean is just as important as caring for its exterior because this is where people sit! You should vacuum up any dust or debris from under the seats before doing anything else with them so that it won't get stuck in your upholstery. You should also clean the headliner, carpets, and door panels with a damp cloth.
If you want to give your car an extra-deep cleaning, you can use an interior cleaner for dust, spills, dirt, and oils and to help shield interior car parts from harsh UV rays. Once you finish, you can continue by applying an interior conditioner to moisturize and protect the surfaces from water, food, and normal wear and tear.
Once you’ve finished detailing the inside and outside of your car, it’s time to polish and protect the wheels and trims.
If you have some spare time, also clean the vent grilles. Your vehicle is now ready to be driven and enjoyed for another few months — or even a year — with a fresh and new look. Your next car detailing will look even better, and you’ll have the skills and experience to complete it to perfection.
There are many ways to make your vehicle look good, and taking care of it doesn’t have to be a chore. By following the tips and tricks in this guide, you will be able to save time and money and have a great-looking car with little effort.

Whether you drive a sports car or a family wagon, if you’re here it's because keeping your vehicle looking brand new matters to you.
But how often do you wash your car?
]]>Your car is probably your pride and joy. It’s your home on wheels and a constant companion. An asset that makes your life easier, be it for work, travel, daily responsibilities, or family activities.
Whether you drive a sports car or a family wagon, if you’re here it's because keeping your vehicle looking brand new matters to you.
But how often do you wash your car? Let’s be real. Most people don’t fully wash their cars regularly. The most prevalent reason being that they don’t have time. But also because the cost of having a car professionally detailed can be costly.
Regardless of whether you want to detail your vehicle or not, you can still do some things that will keep your car clean without washing it often.
In this article, we’ll share with you nine insider tips on how to keep your car clean without regular washing, all gathered from years of experience in maintaining vehicles in tip-top shape.
Even if you don’t wash your vehicle regularly, you should still do — even if only — the minimum to care for its interior.
Your car’s interior is not just about the seats and floor mats. It covers everything from the door panels to the trunk, the glove compartment, and even the cup holders. A lot of people don’t think about cleaning their car’s interior until they see stains or smell odors.
If you want to keep your vehicle looking new, you should at least vacuum the inside once a week and wipe down all surfaces with a damp cloth.
If you have kids prone to spilling things in the car, put protective sheets over everything but the dashboard.
Also, when cleaning, take care of the accumulated junk under seats or behind panels. Don't forget about those hard-to-reach areas! You can even keep a small rubbish bag inside your vehicle and make sure all waste goes there right away.
If you want to learn how to keep your car clean on the outside, you should know that you don't have to wash the whole vehicle, just the surfaces that catch light rain or dew and leave watermarks. These surfaces are commonly found on the hoods, trunks, and rear bumpers.
You can clean them with the help of a detailer spray and a microfiber towel. These will do an excellent job in removing any dirt from these specific areas while leaving other parts of your vehicle untouched for now.
A clean windshield is just like a jewel: when you remove the haze and grime that covers its surface, it shines.
Other than instantly making your car look better, a clear windshield helps with visibility — which in itself means safety!
But don't just stop there. After completing work on the outside of your windshield using a professional glass cleaner, proceed to clean both driver-side windows and mirrors. And for extra points, do an inside windshield or rearview mirror while you're at it too.
Using a good quality Carnauba car wax will help protect the paint from scratches and scuffs. It will also help repel water, keeping the paint out of puddles.
Waxing provides outside surface protection to both painted and gel-coated surfaces, and removes any existing dirt and grime, leaving your vehicle pristine and shiny. It’s a great tool if you are interested in how to keep your car clean without the need for regular washing.
Clay bars are a great way to remove contaminants from the paint's surface and enhance shine.
Most often used with liquid car wash detergents, clay bars can also be applied in-between washes to go the extra mile to remove embedded contaminants that you’d normally never see.
It’s important for these toxic pollutants not to be left on the paint for extended periods because they can cause permanent damage to your car's shine, gloss, and clarity. Clay bar treatments help restore those qualities by removing whatever may be clinging to your car's surface.
Your car's paintwork is essential to its appearance. It gives your vehicle its unique finish and acts as a shield from the elements. But dirty and scratched paintwork can reflect light in all the wrong ways. The paint can start to flake off and, in time, it can even oxidize.
If you want to keep your car looking brand new without regular washing, it’s time to get acquainted with ceramic coatings.
Applying ceramic coating is one of the most powerful ways to protect your car’s paint from mud, grime, and contaminants that can damage it over time. Moreover, a high quality ceramic coating makes your car shine like new. Not to mention it’s also a great way to keep your vehicle looking cleaner for longer.
As their name implies, air fresheners make your car smell…fresh. They come in all shapes and sizes, so there’s something for everyone to suit their style. Apart from making your car smell nice, air fresheners also clean the air of any unpleasant odors that may be present inside your vehicle, like cigarette smoke or food odor.
This may seem like a no-brainer, but it's important to be mindful of where you park.
If you park in the sun regularly, your vehicle’s paintwork will begin to look dull. Tree sap and bird droppings can also damage the paint layer and make washing necessary. So, if you want to learn how to keep your car clean and looking nice without investing in paint restoration — or washing it often — try to park in shady areas without many trees around.
If you don’t own a garage and want to keep your vehicle looking good for longer, a car cover is a must-have. A car cover will keep your car safe from sun, rain, tree sap, and bird droppings. It will also keep your car clean, so you won’t need to wash it as often.
No matter what you do to keep your car clean, you’re bound to get in some dirt or debris here and there. However, with these simple tips on how to keep your car clean, you'll be able to have a spotless vehicle for longer.

]]>Why, and…how?
]]>Why, and…how?
Because your car’s paint job is in charge of first impressions! It tells a lot about how you care for your vehicle, as well as how frequently you do it. Waxing your car is not only one of the best ways to keep it looking its best, but it's also the perfect way to protect it from exterior elements and UV light.
But what type of wax should you use? There are many options on the market, but only a few are truly worth it. And even fewer are capable of delivering that deep shine that will make your car turn heads.
Poorly chosen products can leave your vehicle looking dull and lifeless, and can harm its paint if not used properly. It’s therefore important to choose the right wax for your needs. It should be easy to apply, contain natural ingredients, and provide long-lasting results without leaving a greasy residue behind.
Forget about cheap waxes that leave streaks on your car and require multiple applications before you see any results. If you want nothing but the best, there’s one product in particular that stands out from the rest: Nexgen Carnauba Spray Wax. This beaming formula utilizes the latest technology to deliver unbeatable protection with an enviable shine.
I’ve put together this helpful guide so you can learn more about how Nexgen Carnauba Spray Wax works, how to apply it for optimal results, and what makes it one of the best car waxes on the market today.
Car wax can be natural, such as carnauba wax or synthetic. In either case, it’s designed to deliver a reflective shine and offer a layer of protection to your car’s paint job.
Carnauba waxes are very versatile, meaning they can be used on any kind of surface. This includes paintwork, glass, chrome, and even rubber. They are generally made from a mix of Brazilian palm leaves and carnauba palm tree resin. The latter component is where the name carnauba comes from — a reference to the Carnaubal region in Brazil, where these trees grow in abundance.
Carnaubas have been used for centuries by the people in this area for several purposes: from making baskets to producing food and drink containers. Nowadays, they're also used in making valuable cosmetics such as eye mascara and, of course, carnauba waxes.
Carnauba waxes are known for their ability to create a glossy shine on the surface they're applied to. This is because they contain several natural oils that give the wax its characteristic shine. This is not all these natural oils do, though! They also protect the paintwork, preventing it from drying out and becoming brittle over time.
Waxing your car can be a time-consuming process — and not everyone is willing to do it. However, there are some good reasons for waxing your car as part of a regular car maintenance routine. Waxing can significantly slow the oxidation of your vehicle's paint job and helps repel dirt and water. For this process to work effectively though, you need to use the right type of wax.
The wrong type of wax can lead to streaky finishes and premature wear on your vehicle's paint job. Ensure you are using high-quality carnauba wax, designed for finishing automotive paints.
Continue reading, and I will show you how to apply Nexgen Carnauba Spray Wax step by step in a way that actually delivers the results you’ve hoped for.
Waxing your car can give it a new shine, protect the paint job from oxidation, and make the surface smoother.
But there are other benefits to waxing your car, too. For example, waxing helps paint last longer. Without it, you might need to replace your vehicle's paint job because of oxidation.
Wax also protects against UV rays that cause fading and helps repel dirt, water, tree sap, or bird droppings.
Wax won't stop the accumulation of dirt and water on your vehicle over time — washing will do that. Still, applying spray wax will help keep both from sticking to the surface as much as possible.
Considering this, knowing how to apply carnauba wax successfully will pay off both short-term and long-term.
This was the first type of wax on the market. Paste provides a fabulous shine but wears off quite fast, so you need to apply it often. Best for cars that are driven frequently.
Liquid waxes are the most common type of wax and are easy to apply. You can apply them with a cloth or a buffer — depending on how shiny you want your car to be — and as often as every couple of months, depending on how often you drive it.
Spray waxes are the easiest to apply and work great for those with very little time to spend on car care. They do not require buffing or drying time. Learning how to apply them is easy, plus you can spray them on and walk away.
Spray waxes are typically made from carnauba wax, which provides high gloss and protection against environmental elements. The glossier the wax, the more durable it will be. It's best to apply spray wax in dry, sunny weather conditions for maximum effectiveness.
Clear coat car waxes are designed to be used on cars with clear coats. They are easy to use and apply, but they may need to be buffed or dried after application, depending on the type of product you buy.
Nexgen Carnauba Spray Wax is ideal for hand application. If you want to learn how to apply it, first wash the surface with soap and clean water. Next, use a microfiber or terry cloth towel to dry the surface. Finally, apply a coat of spray wax.
Before you apply the wax, you should wash your car’s surface. The first step is to give your vehicle a good soap bath with soap, water, and a chenille microfiber wash mitt. You should ideally use specialized car soap for this step. If you want to master the ins and outs of how to apply carnauba wax like a pro, you’ll need to follow all the necessary steps.
Use a microfiber towel to dry the surface. One of the most common mistakes people make is using a paper towel.
Paper towels are rough and can scratch your vehicle's paint — plus also leave behind lint that will get ingrained into the surface. A microfiber or terry cloth towel will be gentler, but it is still important to use it with care. The goal is not to rub vigorously! Instead, gently pat the area you just washed to remove excess water and let it air dry.
Since wax enhances shine, it will also enhance all the small paint imperfections. For this task, you can easily rely on the Nexgen Scratch and Swirl Remover. As it’s specifically designed to remove swirl marks and even out imperfect paint surfaces, it will quickly restore your car’s shine.
Apply Nexgen Carnauba Spray Wax one panel at a time, and wipe it in with in small circular motions. This will increase your work’s efficiency and reduce the risk of missing a spot or waxing the same area twice. Make sure to use a clean microfiber towel to buff out any excess product.
Do all this carefully and you can definitely say that you’ve learned the ins and outs of how to apply carnauba wax like a pro.
Since carnauba wax is an all-natural, car and environment-friendly wax, you can expect to have to apply it again anywhere between 3-8 weeks. But some factors have a say in this, and they can each determine a different expectation.
Weather is the first factor determining how often you should apply carnauba wax. If it is too hot and dry outside, the wax will wear off faster. If it rains a lot and your car is exposed, the wax will wear off faster as well.
A vehicle with a smooth paint finish will need more maintenance than a vehicle with an old, rough paint finish. The smooth paint finish can get away with being waxed less frequently.
How much time do you spend driving your car daily? If you drive a lot, constant friction will cause it to lose its shine, so you should probably apply wax more often.
But even so, if your car is exposed to direct sunlight daily, that’s also going to cause friction and thus wear off the carnauba wax more quickly.
Waxing your car will not remove dirt and grime. If you want to keep your car looking good, you should wash it regularly.
Airborne dust particles can cause scratches in your finish, so it’s especially important to wax frequently if you leave the windows open a lot.
Whether or not you live in a humid climate also matters. Humidity in the air will make your car shine less faster than in a dry climate — an effect similar to leaving the windows open.
If you’ve been driving around in the rain and mud, your car will get dirty faster than if you drive on a dry road, meaning you'll have to wash it more, degrading the wax coating faster.
Car waxes nourish your car. They help it stay shiny and look healthy while also offering protection from whatever may harm it down the line. Some drivers know this, and they religiously stick to waxing procedures like the ones I shared above.
Others don't bother, and they're the ones who notice their cars beginning to look a little less than stellar. In this respect, learning how to apply carnauba wax can be the single best thing you do for yourself and your gorgeous roadster.

]]>Wheels and rims are often the dirtiest part of your car. Constantly bombarded by salt from the road and brake dust from other cars, they also get dirty from the brake pads rubbing against them.
If you drive a lot, then you'll notice that these particles can really build up. This can make it difficult to maintain a clean exterior and cause problems for brakes and tires.
If you want to learn how to do a good job when cleaning wheels, you need a bit of knowledge, a few tools, and some high-quality car supplies.
Here's a step-by-step guide to help you get started!
Whether you're looking for a quick fix, or want to do it properly, knowing how to clean your car wheels is an important part of maintenance. Dirty, oxidized wheels can be unsightly and can cause damage to the protective coating that’s applied when the wheels are manufactured.
The best way to get ready for the process of cleaning your car wheels is to take a deep breath and get ready to get down and dirty. You may have to get down on the ground or in your car to get at the wheels and hard-to-reach areas, but if you do it right and take your time, you'll be able to clean your car's wheels without much trouble.
A wheel is made up of the tire, the rim, and/or the hubcap. Obviously, wheels are a crucial part of cars, trucks, and other transportation means as they allow vehicles to move at ease. This is why performing a regular check-up on them is an absolute must for your safety.
Moreover, your wheel type can affect how your vehicle performs and its maintenance costs. Not all wheels require the same care and upkeep, so you need to know which type your car has.
There are six main types of wheels. The first four are used on cars, while the last two are used for trucks:
Steel rims with a hard, chromed surface.
Aluminum car rims with a hard-anodized surface. These wheels can be painted in a variety of colors to match your car's exterior color.
Magnesium alloy and gray anodized color.
Chromed steel rims with chrome plating can chip or peel off over time due to corrosion from salt and moisture.
Wire hub, spokes, and rim are all made from wire mesh.
These feature an aluminum rim around a thick center hub. They can be molded into any shape desired but cannot be painted.
Once you find out your car's wheel type, it will be easier to decide the best cleaning method for them.
Steel wheels are tough but can also be cleaned using brake cleaner or mineral spirits. They are often better suited for heavier vehicles or those that routinely go off-road as they tend to be stronger and more durable. Pieced steel wheels can also hold up against potholes better than aluminum or cast iron wheels but may require frequent maintenance.
Aluminum wheels typically cost less than steel wheels and are easier to maintain as they require less polishing. You can clean them with an aluminum wheel cleaner or dish soap and water.
Not all wheel cleaners are created equal. Some can even damage your vehicle. If you are interested in a product that can give you peace of mind, Nexgen Wheel and Engine Cleaner is a strong, but non-caustic cleaner, safe to use on most wheel types — and around other areas near them. It cuts through brake dust without any risk of etching or staining other car parts! The result? Shiny wheel finishes and beautiful cars for years to come.
*Note: Nexgen Wheel & Engine Cleaner is not recommended for non-factory, aluminum, or painted wheels*
The first step in learning how to clean your car wheels is to prepare. You’ll want to gather the necessary tools and supplies before you begin.
The three main products you need are a bucket of clean water, a soft microfiber cloth, and an old toothbrush or a wheel brush. Make sure that your bucket has plenty of water in it to give yourself enough elbow room when cleaning all the wheels. If you really want to get down and dirty, try using an old sponge or cloth instead of a brush.
To make this process even easier, keep any other necessary tools handy — like a garden hose. For example, if you have particularly resistant spots on your wheels, use a cleaning product that can help break up the wheel dirt.
Here are eight steps to complete the process:
Before you do anything, turn off the engine and ensure the wheels are cool and ready to be worked on. Safety is also an important feature in learning how to clean the car like a pro.
Start by removing any dirt on the outside of your car by hand or with a power washer. A power washer will scrub the wheels more effectively but may not be safe to use on all wheel types.
Next, spray them with a good wheel cleaner, like our Wheel & Engine Cleaner. For the cleaner to work effectively, it must get into every nook and cranny of the wheel. You can spray the cleaner directly onto the wheel, or onto a rag and then wipe it around the wheel. You want to make sure that you're getting into all of those cracks and crevices that are hard to reach. This is where all of the dirt is hiding! Using a detailing brush may help you to reach all these tight spots.
Once you've sprayed on the cleaner and wiped away all of the road grime, be sure to rinse off your wheels thoroughly with water. When you let them dry, they should look a lot better than they did before!
A great tip for cleaning your car wheels is to start with the rear wheel. Wiping dirt off the rear wheels will allow you to see what you are doing when wiping the front ones.
Use a sponge and soapy water and scrub in every corner of the wheels well, including the axle and brakes. This is to make sure you get any last remaining bits of grime and Wheel & Engine Cleaner.
Rinse off any soap residue with water from the hose or bucket.
Dry off each wheel. Use a rag or towel — previously dipped in diluted white vinegar — to prevent water spots from forming on your wheels and ruining all your hard work.
After cleaning your wheels, it is important to apply a dressing to the tires to protect the surface and add a bit of shine.
Nexgen Tire Dressing is a great last step to restore the tire's surface back to its original luster. Our Tire Dressing nourishes and moisturizes tires, extending their lifespan by preventing drying and cracking. This product dries down to a stunning, medium-level shine that is completely sling-free.

Cleaning your leather steering wheel is an important part of auto maintenance. Leather requires regular care to maintain its beauty and prevent it from drying out, cracking, or fading. Rest assured, the process is not even as hard as you may think — as long as you know what products to use and how.
If you are interested in learning how to clean a leather steering wheel, this blog post will give you everything you need to know for excellent results.
Before showing you how to clean them, here’s a quick look at what these fancy car auditions are.
Leather is a natural product made from animal skin. This skin is stripped of its hair, treated to remove oils and protein, and tanned with various chemicals. This process is not easy or quick. When ready, leather can withstand wear and tear better than any other material.
Leather steering wheels can be wrapped both in genuine or artificial leather — aka vinyl. They come in many different shapes, sizes, and colors. The type of leather selected for the wheel can determine its look. For instance, softy-soft black leather will have a much different look than rough-textured brown or white leather.
If you're like most people, your car's steering wheel is dirty! As it gets handled daily — constantly making contact with your hands and fingers — it's warm and moist, creating the perfect conditions for bacterial growth. Considering that most cars are parked for hours at a time, grime and dust keep building up on the steering wheel.
Dirt can range from light soiling to heavy grime buildup, which we've seen happen due to dirt and grease from food residue and key chains.
Even though you can't see dirt and grease stains on the surface, they are still there, creating a sticky feeling when you grip.
The best way to prevent this is to clean your steering wheel regularly. You can buy and use products specially designed for leather care like Nexgen’s Interior Cleaner. This leather cleaner will help clean and protect the entire leather upholstery from damage due to exposure to dust, UV rays, and other elements found in cars.
Changing out your air filter every 10k miles is also a good idea because it will help keep dirt from building up in places like your garage or driveway where it doesn't get touched as often.
Learning how to clean a leather steering wheel is a good idea, but make sure you know how often to do it too.
Leather is pleasing to the eye and offers more comfort — some may even call it luxury. However, this “luxury” comes at a cost! If you don’t care for it properly, it will show signs of tear and wear faster than other materials. Once that happens, reversing the process is hard.
That said, you should clean your steering wheel’s leather regularly because grime doesn't usually come off by itself. Don’t worry, you won’t need to wash it every day either! A general rule of thumb is to clean it once a week, but you can go a bit longer if you can't find the time.
If you want to keep your leather soft and supple for longer, you cannot go wrong with Nexgen Interior Conditioner. This conditioner comes in a spray bottle, is compact, and easy to use. Apart from working great on leather, it offers excellent results on plastic and vinyl as well.
Leather steering wheels have a prestigious look and feel. They are most often found in luxury cars. Leather is a very rich material with a lot of depth to it. It can be made to look worn or brand new, depending on the part you choose. Certain types of leather also have different textures, which can provide an interesting change from the usual shiny plastic steering wheel.
Whether your car is used for business, pleasure, or just daily driving, upgrading to a leather steering wheel can make it look more expensive and luxurious.
Here are some aspects you should know about owning a vehicle with a leather steering wheel:
The truth is your cleaning sessions may vary because of the many types of leather used to make steering wheels.
Genuine or premium leather has a high gloss finish, making it look smooth and luxurious. This type of leather is often used for car interiors because it is hard-wearing and looks great over time. It should only be available in one color since dyeing this type of leather will often lower the quality if not done properly.
Another option for steering wheels is full-grain leather. Full-grain leather also has a high gloss finish, but the texture is slightly different than genuine or premium. The color can vary, so you may see blotches of darker colors on the surface. But don't let that fool you! These are still high-quality skins that will last for an extremely long time with the proper maintenance.
Premium vinyl leather is another option to consider when upgrading your steering wheel to real leather. Premium vinyl looks like authentic leather but doesn't require as much special care as its genuine counterparts do.
When you clean and moisturize your leather steering often, you may expect it to last up to 10-15 years, so regular maintenance really pays off in the long term.
What’s more, knowing how to clean the steering wheel may also increase your safety on the road. A dirty leather steering wheel may easily become slippery, causing improper handling when driving.
Cleaning leather is not like cleaning other materials like cloth or vinyl. You must avoid certain things to prevent damage.
For starters, never use ammonia-based products on the surface of your leather steering wheel. This can leave streaks that will darken after time and ruin the look of your beautiful new leather.
Here’s a step by step guide on how to clean your car’s leather steering wheel:
The first thing you can do to avoid dirty steering wheels is to wipe them down before and after driving. You can use a damp rag or a cleaning cloth for this purpose.
There are many benefits to using leather in your car’s interior. Leather is durable, stylish, and provides a comfortable grip on your steering wheel. Plus, it can be dyed to any color, so it’s perfect for customizing your car's look.
But this all hinges on one thing — if you want to keep your car leather steering wheel looking new, cleanliness is key.
As you can see in this blog, learning how to clean your leather steering wheel is not at all complicated. In fact, the entire cleaning process is an easy set of steps that, when followed, will help you get excellent results.

]]>Understandably, DIY car cleaning can be tiring, more so considering most people don’t have the time, patience, or experience to clean their cars themselves.
This is where professional car cleaning and detailing come in. Most of these specialists offer great services that can make your car look new again. The downside is that these services come at a higher cost.
It's a hard pill to swallow, but car upkeep can be costly. Even if you go with a new low-end vehicle, you're still going to spend a decent amount on the car itself.
So wouldn't it be nice to get your car looking new again with less money?
Read on to learn about our Nexgen DIY interior and exterior cleaning and car detailing products, and check out the 4 reasons why detailing your vehicle is worth it.
You may be wondering what is the point of getting your car detailed. The answer is simple! To improve its condition. Auto detailing isn’t just about making your vehicle look cleaner on the outside but also giving it a thorough interior cleaning.
The benefits of detailing and cleaning your car include: improved paint finish, a clean smelling interior, polished tires, and last but not least, a significant value increase. Let’s see!
One of the main reasons why professional car detailing is worth it is because the pros apply the best car cleaning practices.
They typically go through a checklist to ensure they don't miss anything, like door jambs, dashboards, lights, and even between the seats. As a result, your car's exterior will look better for longer.
The same goes for your car's interior. Professionals use high-quality products that last longer to clean everything, including floor mats and carpeting.
Dirty cars can cause problems — whether it's an unpleasant smell or bad air quality — so you'll get rid of these issues with a professional detail job.
Lastly, you'll enjoy driving in your newly detailed vehicle because it smells great!
If you want to replicate the process yourself, make sure to invest in some of the best quality products you can find, such as the Nexgen Quick Detail Spray. This is your all-in-one product for spot removal, clay bar lubrication, and instant detailing.
Whether you’re cleaning up bug splatter, doing a full wipe-down, or your quarterly clay bar detail, make sure Nexgen Detail Spray is in your detailing kit!
When you let a professional detail your car, they use the best practices and products to help preserve your paint job. This will help you avoid chips and scratches.
Professional detailers use waxes and paint sealants that will not wear off as quickly as other products on the market. Plus, they know how to remove wash and wax residues from surfaces like glass and plastic — something you may not be able to do on your own.
Nexgen Ceramic Spray will help you get the same results by yourself, for less. All you need is a bit of time and patience to perform the process right.
Applying Nexgen Ceramic Spray is an easy process, and the results will impress even the pickiest car enthusiast. Among all the DIY ceramic products on the market, Nexgen uses the highest concentration of Silicon Dioxide (SiO2).
By using this ceramic spray regularly, you will drastically reduce the ability of contaminants to streak, scratch, and degrade your vehicle’s clear coat and paint.
It's no secret that your car is one of the dirtiest things you own, and it’s not just because of the particles that get on it!
If you're like most people, you probably eat or leave some sort of food or drink residue inside your car.
With all these contaminants, it's almost impossible to avoid unpleasant smells, which is why professional detailers use odor removal products that leave a fresh scent. They know how to tackle tough smells and leave your vehicle’s interior smelling like nothing has ever happened.
Want to take the extra step in cleaning the interior of your car like a professional? There’s one product that will help you remove dirt and other contaminants from all surfaces while killing most disease-causing microscopic organisms.
Nexgen’s Industrial Strength Disinfectant is a scientifically-advanced formula of antimicrobial chemicals that destroys and eliminates most pathogens on hard, nonporous surfaces.
The fourth reason that makes regular car detailing worth it is it helps preserve resale value. The first thing people usually notice about a vehicle is its exterior, paint job, and how tidy the interior looks.
If it's not clean enough, the first impression of your car will be negative. A professional wash and wax will make your car look better and fetch a higher resale value when it's time to sell.
Cleaning the interior is important too for protecting your original upholstery from spills, stains, and wear. You want to show off some of the interior features like leather seats, headliner, dashboard, etc. And you want to keep all of those items looking new as well!
Car detailing can be done by anyone, not only professionals, and that’s precisely the beauty of it.
It doesn’t require you to be a rocket physicist, but you do need to be diligent, careful, and follow a process. And to do it right, you need dedicated cleaning products for both its interior and exterior.
The benefit of detailing a car by yourself is that you can do it in the comfort of your own backyard, in your own time, using the products you prefer. However, one wrong step and you may look at high repair costs in what could’ve easily been avoided by specialists. Harsh chemicals can do that on your car's surfaces, plus you can also mix them up by mistake — the effects can be irreversible or very difficult to correct.
To avoid any unpleasant accidents when doing car cleaning and detailing by yourself, only go with high-quality detailing products that can help you do the job right — risk-free.
Professional interior and exterior cleaning will take care of everything for you, with the utmost attention to detail and to your car's unique requirements. Professional detailers also have years of experience that guarantee they do the job quickly and with minimum risks for damage.
Your car is your second home…but its interior has more germs than your house! If you drive to work or school every day, there are likely 100 times more bacteria on your steering wheel than on your kitchen countertop.
And, because cars aren't designed to be airtight like houses, they're also susceptible to dust mites and other allergens that can trigger asthma or other respiratory issues.
All in all, professional — or dedicated DIY — car detailing and cleaning is not only a luxury, but a must. It’s a series of car care procedures for the interior and exterior that will keep your car not only looking pretty but also safe for your health.
Car detailing is also the best thing you can do to raise your vehicle’s selling value, helping you get a much better price when the time to part ways comes.
At Nexgen, we offer the absolute best products for interior and exterior car detailing. We deliver across the US, and, if you are a VIP client, you get free 2-day shipping. Get in touch with us if you have any questions, our team will be happy to assist you!

]]>Car owners everywhere know just how complex keeping a vehicle’s appearance in tip-top shape can be. You get to feel everything from joy and fun to frustration and sorrow. That’s because from dust to air pollution, many things can damage and discolor your car’s clear coat.
Aside from aesthetic issues, failing to keep your car clean can lead to trouble down the road. It can be a breeding ground for bacteria and rust and, eventually, weaken the vehicle’s structural integrity.
In general, a car’s exterior surfaces are particularly exposed to a wide array of contaminants. Some are unavoidable, while others, such as tree sap or tar, are less prone to occur. But when they do, they can be very damaging.
One of the more underrated contaminants out there are bugs. Bugs are not your vehicle's friend! Their body fluids are acidic and can dissolve automobile paint in no time. Small as they are, insects can cause a lot of trouble. Even if the surface is cleaned soon after impact, all bets are off if bug remains are left in place.
Bug splats are usually stubborn and can be a nightmare to clean off. They can appear on both the windshield and the car's paintwork, where they can eat straight through the clear coat.
For removal, don’t try to scrape or rub bug stains off as it will likely damage your paint far worse than the bug itself. Use a professional bug remover for cars instead.
If your car has bugs stuck to its surfaces, the best thing to do first is to give it a good hand wash — whenever possible, avoid automatic car washes. This will help remove part of the contaminants. Dirt and dust should be the first to go, while dead bugs will take a bit longer to come off.
To deal with bug removal, it's best to use a professional product created for cars to loosen and lift the remains, which can be next removed using a microfiber towel. Don’t try to scrub bug guts off with a dry towel, as this can cause fine scratches.
Keeping microfiber towels and a good bug cleaner in the car is a good idea, so you can remove insects immediately after each drive.
The auto industry had expanded a lot over these past years and so did the car care market, leaving customers with plenty of products to choose from. However, this can be confusing for the regular car owner since most have decent marketing and similar prices.
Bug removers for cars are not all the same. Their components and effectiveness differ from one to the other, depending on their quality, main focus, etc. Pick one that delivers good results while being safe both for you and your car. Read on, and I’ll help you find the right bug cleaner! To start, our top pick is…
Got bugs stuck on your car’s surface? From bumblebees to mosquitos, most airborne bugs contain nasty toxins that can cause damage to your vehicle’s clear coat, as well as the paint. Nexgen Bug and Tar Remover’s fast-acting formula breaks down the most stubborn bugs and tar residue to prevent permanent damage, with just a few squirts.
Another thing that makes this an incredible product is its versatility. As with all of Nexgen’s products, it has a unique formulation of solvents and specialty surfactants combined that are safe for painted surfaces as well as surrounding plastics. From windshields to plastics, chromes, bumpers, painted surfaces, and grilles, this cleaner will deliver on its promise.
More so, it is very easy to apply.
Just spray it on, leave it for about two minutes, and rinse. You don’t even need to scrub. Apply, relax, and rinse — that’s how easy removing bugs from your car should be.
To complete the paint protection process, follow up with Nexgen Ceramic Spray.
This all-purpose cleaner for cars is meant to help you clean both the interior and exterior of your car. It removes bugs, tree sap, and insects from a wide variety of surfaces, such as aluminum, mirrors, windows, metal, or rubber, among others. WD-40 is a good alternative to use on your car when you want to remove bugs. You can simply spray it on the affected area and let it dwell for about 10 minutes.
Next, wash off the solution with warm water — the treated surface should be clear. However, I still recommend using a specially designed bug remover for cars. It’s safer and more efficient.
Removing bugs and stubborn bug guts can turn into an easy-enough task once you have the right products to help you out.

As you may probably know, repairing leather car seats can be quite expensive, and replacing them can cost you even more. Here are some simple tips on how to preserve your car’s quality and beauty for years to come.
A leather interior feels luxurious indeed! Still, if you want to make sure it stays that way — and preserve your car's market value — you have to first learn how to clean leather car seats the right way.
Car seats usually take the biggest hit when the first signs of wear and tear show up. As they come in daily contact with dust, clothes, food, pet hair, and other contaminants, it’s only natural that we should put in the effort in cleaning them regularly.
Leather seats are a more expensive feature to add to your car, so you need to pay more from the get-go. Apart from this initial investment, you should also be ready to spend more on maintenance.
If it all seems much, the good news is that leather seats are much more forgiving than fabric seats. They don’t tend to hold onto odors quite as much and are generally easier to clean.
The even better news is that learning how to clean leather car seats is a pretty straightforward task. All you need to do is follow the steps I’ll mention below, and you’ll quickly get a handle on the whole cleaning process.
Contrary to what some car owners may think, there’s not such a great science behind upkeeping your vehicle’s leather seats. Yes, leather is a bit more precious; however, it’s also pretty easy to treat once you have the right cleaning solution.
What you need to know, though, is that if you neglect cleaning and moisturizing your car seats frequently, they will start to look dull or even crack.
The simplest and most efficient way to clean your car’s leather seats is to invest in a high-quality leather cleaning product and some microfiber cloths. This is the best option since going with a professional car leather cleaner means you can count on years of expertise and research.
What you need for your leather seats is a product that does its job well in removing stains and dirt without damaging the texture of the leather itself. A product that is tough in what it accomplishes, but gentle in its execution.
Here’s how to clean leather car seats using Nexgen Interior Cleaner:

Moreover, it offers UV protection — really important if you want to go the extra mile in cleaning and protecting your leather seats.
When compared to other cleaning products, Nexgen’s Interior Cleaner stands out as it’s equally efficient on touch screens and leather surfaces.

When using this spray from Nexgen, you’ll see no residues left behind, nor will it leave a greasy or wet look that attracts dust and lint. Wondering how to clean leather car seats when a professional product is not handy?
When you need an urgent alternative to cleaning your car’s interior, there are some items we all have around the house which you can use on your leather seats too.
These are:
The good old-fashioned dishwashing liquid is good at removing the greasy spots from your leather seats. Start by mixing a 5:1 ratio of warm water and dishwashing liquid. Use a clean cloth and dampen it in the mixture. Be sure to remove excess moisture from it while you clean the seats, or it may otherwise find its way through the seams and seep into the cushions.
Baking soda is a truly miraculous product; and here it is, once again, proving its outstanding properties. Indeed, baking soda is great at dealing with oily patches. If you have them on your leather seats, sprinkle some baking soda on them and allow it to sit for a few hours.
Next, use a soft-bristled brush to remove the baking soda from the leather and dry the surface completely using a dry microfiber cloth. In learning how to clean leather car seats, you need to be thorough and mindful of the details.
This mix is also powerful if you want to get rid of spots. Just note that vinegar is a strong solvent, which gives it impeccable cleaning properties — it will clean the leather while also disinfecting it. On the other hand, the olive oil acts as a high-quality leather conditioner, leaving the material looking and feeling nicer than ever.
When learning how to clean leather car seats, it’s important to take note of all the methods described above. If you want results that truly show, using a professional product will always beat your kitchen staples.
Leather seats deserve the reputation they get. They not only take your car’s aesthetic to the next level but are also remarkably durable compared to fabric.
However, they do require regular maintenance, or they’ll crack. If you like the look, the feel, the smell, and the durability, go for it. But be mindful of these pitfalls while learning how to clean leather car seats successfully.
Thankfully, you can use a professional leather cleaning solution that also works perfectly with other surfaces of your car’s interior, such as the Nexgen Interior Cleaner. To top it up, make the most of the Nexgen Interior Conditioner. As for the cleaning process, it is quite straightforward and, with a bit of patience, any car owner can make their leather car seats look like new again.

A car’s interior has plenty of surfaces that need cleaning, and it’s important to know what you’re dealing with from the get-go.
If you want to master the know-how on how to clean a car interior, here are the surfaces you need to pay attention to:
If you wonder how to clean your car’s interior fast and without hassle, you need powerful products created especially for this purpose.
However, you still need to be careful and remember that not all that works for your upholstery will also work for the windows or the dashboard. Research before buying and using a new product. Not paying attention to this may cause irreversible damage.
Thankfully, the Nexgen Interior Cleaner is designed to clean and protect many of the car interior’s surfaces: leather, plastic, carpet, vinyl, wood, and cloth. With this product and a window cleaner such as the Nexgen Glass Cleaner, you’re more than ready to clean your car's interior like a pro.
Wondering how to clean the car’s interior?
Let’s take the entire process step by step. Car interior detailing may seem fancy at first, but, actually, all you need to do is follow these simple tips and use the right cleaning products.
You’d be surprised by how many things your car’s interior can collect over time. From empty packaging, extra layers of clothing, papers, leftover foods, and so on, our cars have seen it all. So make sure that before you proceed to brushing and sweeping, you first empty out your car by discarding everything into a garbage bag.
Apply the Nexgen Interior Cleaner product on a microfiber towel and wipe everything clean — the door panels, the center console, the steering wheel, and the dashboard itself.
Take another clean microfiber towel and wipe off any excess product from the surfaces which have been previously cleaned.
You can even use a cotton swab for those extra tight spots you feel are too tiny to reach with the cleaning cloth. Be sure to also clean the glove box. Do this on both the outside and the inside of the glove compartment. While at it, wipe the interior surface too.
As you may have already noticed, your car’s carpets are protected by the mats on top of them. Remove the mats and clean them thoroughly before you get to the carpets, which may be full of hair, dirt, grime, and anything else you can imagine.
Before you get to the deep cleaning part, use a powerful vacuum cleaner to remove all the debris and residue. Vacuum carpets, mats, and seats.
Next, attach a crevice tool and get into all fthe car’s hard-to-reach places, including the seating’s odd angles. Start with the back seats and work your way to the front.
To get started, get your detailing brush ready since you’ll be dealing with more delicate surfaces. When learning all the ins and outs of how to clean a car interior like a pro, taking care of its leather surfaces needs special attention.
Gently use a soft brush on all the vinyl in your car, as well as on your seats, if they’re dressed in leather. Be gentle on the leather seats, even if they show stubborn spots. It’s better to be steady and persistent rather than quick and aggressive — you may damage the leather to a point of no return.
At the end, apply a leather conditioner like Nexgen Interior Conditioner to hydrate and prevent the leather from losing elasticity and cracking.
Once you have the carpets in clear view, be sure to clean pet hair off if there’s any. This tends to sink deep into the fabric and ends up being quite pestering to remove.
For this part of the process, you can use either velcro or duct tape to lift all the hairs right up. In the meantime, be sure to have a container with warm water handy because you’ll use the Nexgen Interior Cleaner to clean the carpets too. Once you finish, let them air dry, if possible, and make sure to also have clean floor mats ready to put back inside the car too.
Apply the Nexgen Glass Cleaner on a microfiber towel or directly on the window and then use it on the interior and exterior windows of your car — don’t forget about the rear window. When drying the windows, make sure that you dry each side in different directions — this is an extra tip that adds to your efficiency.
Follow all these steps above, and you’ll be able to proudly say that you know how to clean the car interior like a professional detailer.
There are, of course, alternative options you can use to clean the interior of your car, and some involve household products. Don’t expect them to be as efficient as a professional product, but if you are in a hurry or want to learn how to clean the car interior using natural products, it pays to know these tips and tricks too:

If you own a car, it’s absolutely natural to ask yourself what you can do to protect and preserve it in the long run.
How to show it the care it deserves? How to maintain the shine of the paintwork? How to protect its surface from scratches and swirl marks?
Today, I’m here to show you how to wash your car safely, without worrying that one scrub with the wrong brush could leave it scratched in places you've never thought of.
So if you want to learn more about the ins and outs of car washing and what you need to do to get your car shining like new, just keep reading.
As far as vehicle maintenance goes, many car owners try to navigate their way among different car care procedures, not really knowing which one to stick with, for lack of proper information.
If this is you, you might think there’s no big difference between washing a car by hand and taking it to an automatic car wash. You’ve probably been caught at the crossroads between convenience and quality. Or maybe you strongly believe that an automatic car wash is innocuous if only used every now and then.
But when it comes to the pressing question “are automatic car washes bad for your car?”, the short answer is that, by choosing this form of cleaning, you're not only doing your car a disservice in terms of cleanliness, you're also damaging its finish.
Before looking into automatic car wash damage, let’s talk about what makes automatic washes so appealing in the first place.
In case you are not living a remote lifestyle, far away from civilization, chances are you’ve probably used an automatic car wash before. If you haven’t though, don’t start now!
Either way, there are a few things you should know.
Automatic car washes have been around for a few decades, and today you can find them basically everywhere. The expense of using one is equal to what you would pay for a cappuccino, not to mention that they are also extremely fast. With this being said, it is easy to see why so many people choose automatic over hand washing their cars.
However, the question many professionals often get asked is: “Are automatic car washes bad for your car?”
Automatic car washes are terrible for your vehicle’s finish and are a major cause of paintwork damage. But being so cheap and quick, they are a convenient option for anyone looking to clean their car without hassle.
In today’s busy world, the idea of having your car washed while you answer an email or chat with a friend is more than attractive. On top of it, the price you pay for it is next to nothing. But, is it worth it?
Although convenient, as hinted above, automatic car washes pose a series of hidden threats that are much more damaging than you’d think.
First off, the brushes used in automatic car washes aren’t properly maintained, and the wear and tear they suffer will be transferred to your vehicle's paint. Not to mention, all of that dirt and debris that those brushes pick up from other cars gets slammed and ground right into yours. Allowing your vehicle to be washed with these abrasive brushes is like using a dirty mop all over your car’s surface.
Don’t get me wrong, taking your car to the automatic car wash one time doesn’t mean you’ll get it back full of swirl marks and scratches. But you can expect this to happen if you continue to use this cleaning method on a regular basis.
Over the years, I've noticed that inexperienced car owners care very little about the brushes used in automatic car washes.
This is because most of the damage is not immediately visible.
But whenever you feel a bit lazy to give your car a good old hand wash, just remember that when taking the automatic wash shortcut regularly, you’re bound to see deep micro-scratches showing at one point or the other.
Second, you also have very little control over the cleaning products automatic car wash usually uses. Technically, they should be safe and efficient. They should also be market-approved. Practically speaking, you never know what the car wash uses to make your car clean. There’s a chance the detergents contain aggressive acids that can further damage the car’s finish.
Let’s not also forget about the clear coat. If there’s too much invasive interference with the paint finish, the damage builds up onto the transparent layer until the seal is broken. If the clear coat is broken there will be nothing else to protect the actual paint anymore.
But since I’m sure some of you may still be wondering “are automatic car washes bad for your car?”, here’s some more food for thought.
Many of you might think that since automatic car washes are bad for your car, touchless ones are a safer choice. Well, not so fast!
Unlike automatic car washes, touchless car washes use automated robots to wash your car, scrub hardened grime or bird droppings, and apply all the necessary cleaning agents. As soon as the washing part is done, a special treatment of your choice will be applied — such as wax or tire foam.
A touchless wash might seem a safer option compared to an automatic car wash, simply because there’s no harmful contact with the brushes. However, touchless car washes use high pressure and strong detergents for cleaning that may affect the paint and the exterior look of the car.
Not to mention that the drying may most definitely not be complete, so you can expect water spots to show.
As you might have probably realized by now, most types of automatic car washes, be it in-bay automatic, tunnel, or touchless, are pretty damaging. But if you don’t want to avoid them entirely, there’s one thing you can do to keep your car protected while using them. And that’s applying a ceramic coating.
Ceramic coating is much more than a fancy term flung around in the auto industry. It’s a powerful car care procedure that leaves the paintwork shiny and protected for a long time. It essentially acts like a second clearcoat. You can have it applied by a professional, or you can do the maneuver yourself using a DIY product such as Nexgen Ceramic Spray.
Spray Nexgen Ceramic Spray in small sections so you can approach the coating process efficiently. Keep more microfiber towels in hand to avoid oversaturation. Also, make sure you don’t allow for more than 3-4 minutes curing time for each section. Otherwise, your car will be filled with darker spots.
Wipe the excess product out using microfiber towels. Follow the body lines of the car when you do this, and avoid using circular motions. Just make sure you don’t over saturate the car's surface — and that you are thorough all throughout.
You’ll end up with a showroom-shiny car that’s well protected against elements, contaminants, and automatic car wash damage.
Are automatic car washes bad for your car? They are, but they can be less harmful when you have the right protection.
And if you wonder what makes Nexgen Ceramic Spray a better choice than other similar products on the market, you need to learn a thing or two about SiO2.
SiO2 is the chemical formula of silicon dioxide, most commonly found in nature as quartz. Also known as silicon dioxide or silica, SiO2 is water-repellent, tough, and self-healing.
Among DIY ceramic coatings, Nexgen uses the highest concentration of SiO2 (13% to be exact), which drastically reduces the ability of contaminants to streak, scratch, and degrade your clear coat and vehicle paint.
If automatic car washes are so bad for your car, the next logical thing to do is wash your vehicle by hand.
I know that this is easier said than done since most of us complain about lack of time. But, as with most things, once you have the knowledge and equipment, everything else falls into place.
Start by rinsing the car with a hose or pressure washer to remove excessive amounts of dirt and grime. Next, fill both buckets with water and add Nexgen Ceramic Soap to one of them. The second bucket (without added soap) will be used to trap loose dirt and allow you to rinse your wash mitt thoroughly before you put it back in the soapy water.
Work from the top of the vehicle down to avoid kicking up any dirt, and knock off the job in sections. For any stubborn contaminants left behind, you can use Nexgen Bug And Tar Remover.
To avoid water spots, dry the car right away using a soft, highly absorbent drying cloth.
Continue by applying Nexgen Glass Cleaner to your vehicle’s windows and mirrors for optimal optical clarity, to reduce static cling, and to keep windows cleaner longer. It works on glass, mirrors, screens, or lenses and offers professional-grade results anyone can achieve.
And since no washing session is complete without some extra care for the wheels, use Nexgen Wheel and Engine Cleaner to break down even the toughest grease. This product outperforms most acidic style cleaners, solvent degreasers, and other water-soluble degreasers, all without the use of harsh chemicals.
Finish with Nexgen Ceramic Spray and apply it yourself. In addition to keeping the car surfaces looking good, ceramic coatings will also help repel dust and grime and protect your vehicle’s paint from oxidation and UV rays.
When it comes to “are automatic car washes bad for your car?” you will always hear pros and cons. Many car owners might think of them as not entirely bad. They do the job quickly, not to mention they cost peanuts. However, the damage they can cause to your car’s paint is long-lasting, and costly to repair.
As with anything else, it’s best to play the long game and think ahead. In all honesty, I advise you to steer clear of them. However, if you’re in a rush and have no other alternative but to pay a visit to your local automatic car wash once in a while, make sure you’ve protected your car with ceramic coating.
Use your own best judgment when deciding whether automatic car washes are worth it and how many scratches you are willing to risk. If you want to best take care of your car's paint, it's best to wash your car yourself using the method and products listed above.

Whether driving your car to work, dropping off the kids, buying groceries, road tripping, or taking your furry friend to the vet, your car interior sees much of you, and frequently. And car seats are the ones most likely to take the first hit when it comes to wear and tear.
The reason car seats get so dirty is no rocket science. We restfully lean back on them every time we jump into the car, and we do so wearing clothes that have collected dust, dirt, pet hair, and all sorts of other debris. On top of that, most of us don’t shy away from bringing snacks, drinks, or downright entire meals when driving around.
It’s no wonder that car seats can become dirty and in need of a makeover in no time — especially if covered in fabric.
So what can you do about dirty seats? How can you turn things around when it comes to the cleanliness of your car’s interior?
Many of you might have looked into cleaning treatments you could apply yourself but were afraid to ruin the tapestry. Thankfully there’s an easy way for you to get the results you’re after...clean, spotless seats.
Since I know just how daunting it can be to start something on your car without knowing whether it would work or not, today I share with you everything that I have learned about how to clean car seats after years of being a professional car detailer.
So let’s dig in!
Cleaning car seats is a pretty simple process that doesn’t actually require much.
Of course, many car owners opt to take their ride for a professional car seat scrub, and there’s nothing wrong with that. However, some people prefer to do the job themselves, and, if done right, the results will be pretty much the same as having a professional job done.
Thankfully, this procedure won’t require you to make costly investments or buy multiple supplies of anything. All you need is Nexgen Interior Cleaner and a few other materials such as microfiber cloths and a soft-bristled brush. If the situation is pressing, and you don’t have a professional product at hand, a vinegar mixture or a baking soda solution can work too.
As for the process — you’ll find all the answers regarding how to clean car seats at home efficiently and safely below.
My goal is to share my professional tips so by the end of this article, you have all the information needed to give your fabric car seats the makeover they deserve.
In learning how to clean car seats, you’ll find there are all sorts of great tips and tricks that prove to be the obvious approach.
While it may be tempting, it’s not recommended to fully wash your car seats. In fact, some car models allow you to take the car seat cover off and wash it — most of them are machine washable.
Just remember to not machine dry them. They’re just not designed to undergo that kind of procedure. Instead, simply leave the covers out to air dry, and put them back in when done.
If your car seat covers don’t come off, start by removing the dust with a damp cloth. Once the surface dirt has been removed, proceed to apply the upholstery cleaner.
When cleaning the upholstery, there are a few steps to follow. Pay attention to all of them if you really want to learn how to clean car seats like a pro.
To clean cloth car seats properly, you’ll first need to remove dust, dirt, and debris from them. This means you’ll need to vacuum them. While you’re at it, I recommend a good vacuum that could pull out even the most stubborn debris from the most difficult angles.
Ideally, you should clean upholstery as often as possible, preferably at least every two weeks, to prevent permanent stains from forming.
At some point, some stains will become more difficult to remove and those ugly dots will set in. Stains ingrained in the seat cloth fiber should be pre-treated for maximum efficiency. This means you’ll need to grab a bottle of Nexgen Interior Cleaner, spray it on the most visible stains, and let the solution sit for about 15 minutes.
After this time has passed, I recommend that you start spraying the entire seats with Nexgen from top to bottom. You don’t need to use too much product or saturate the cloth.
Rub in the interior cleaning solution and scrub away any remaining dirt. You can use a microfiber towel, but a detailing brush designed for the job will work better. Start scrubbing from the top and work your way all the way down. Once you notice an excess of product on the brush, rinse it in a bucket of clean warm water.
With this last step, you’ll have successfully learned how to clean car seats by yourself.
Since all this process so far has made your car seats damp, now you must remove the excess moisture. Do this by simply wiping your car seats thoroughly with a microfiber cloth, which should lift off any excess water right away.
Follow these steps, and you’ll finally have those car seats looking fresh and sparkling clean again.
If you feel like you haven’t done a thorough job, there are some other alternatives to get rid of tough stains.
When it comes to cleaning leather seats, the process is very similar to cleaning cloth ones. In fact, I would say it’s even easier!
Unlike cloth, leather seats don’t hold odors and don’t stain as much. They also clean faster. This is because leather is way less porous than upholstery or cloth. Nexgen Interior Cleaner works perfectly on leather too and no other products are needed to return great-looking car seats.
On top of the cleaning steps discussed above you’ll just have to consider adding a conditioner. Such a product can keep leather soft, supple and protected for an extended period of time by preventing dirt and moisture from becoming ingrained in the material.
Luckily, we stock professional grade Interior Conditioner.
Having alternative stain removal options can be really handy when dealing with stubborn spots. Nexgen Interior Cleaner is a great buy if you really want excellent results. However, there are other ways to go about this, some involving staple household products.
I will always recommend a professional product over home improvisations. But, at the same time, I can understand you might be in urgent need to clean your car seats and don’t have a bottle of Nexgen handy.
In these instances, baking soda, dish soap, and vinegar can also do a decent job.
Don't worry about these mixtures. They are all tried and true and won’t ruin your car’s upholstery. The best part is they also come at a minimum cost, and you can easily find them tucked away in a cupboard somewhere in your home.
There’s a chance using all these products makes you feel a bit of a crafty auto-enthusiast. In fact, anything related to car care or learning how to clean car seats can make you feel this way. Having said this, let’s get to how you can use baking soda or a mixture of detergent, dish soap, and vinegar.
Mix ¼ cup of baking soda with a cup of warm water, apply a light layer of this mixture onto the fabric, and then scrub the stained area with a toothbrush. Let it sit for at least 20 minutes. While the baking soda sits on the couch, make a simple cleaning solution out of dish soap and vinegar and tackle any remaining stains.
Mix a cup of vinegar, some detergent, a few drops of dish soap, and plenty of warm water in a bucket. Dab the vinegar mixture into the cloth and lightly scrub the stained patch. This cleaning solution should do the trick in no time. Who said learning how to clean car seats needs to be complicated, right?
Regular maintenance will keep your pride and joy looking like new, and learning how to clean car seats is an integral part of your regular maintenance regime. In fact, this is probably the most important thing you can do to keep your vehicle's interior in great shape.
I hope these tips on how to clean car seats will come in handy for you too. Just make sure you follow all the steps above and repeat them as many times as necessary until you feel you’ve got the desired results. Afterward, you can literally lean back and enjoy the view and fresh scent.

You gotta take care of your car’s engine, oils, upholstery, and keep it clean. But if the paint on the outside looks old and shabby, what’s the point? So here’s how to DIY car paint restoration with minimal effort, time and investment.
All cars dazzle us initially with their shiny and impressive features, whether it’s a Hellcat or a Hyundai. The paint finish, the color, the shine, the curvy lines…all is good until the day you look at it and wonder…“are those scratches?” Yes, they are. They’re small, but you can’t unsee them.
Then, at a closer look, you also find hard water spots on the passenger’s side, just below the mirror. And what about that small area of faded paint on the hood!?
What happened? When did your car get like this? It used to be a jewel. Now it’s a beater.
So what’s next? You’d most likely want all these signs of wear and tear to magically disappear. But is car paint restoration possible without paying a fortune to a specialist?
Although most of us treat our cars with care, at some point, our wheely babies will start showing signs of our fun times together and prolonged sun exposure.
The damage paint suffers can vary. A driver without a garage may have more issues with tree sap, bird droppings, or acid rain, while someone living in sunny areas will struggle with UV damage.
Generally, the most common damages that can be fixed with paint restoration are surface scratches, water spots, and paint haze. The restoration process is typically the same for all, and using high-end Nexgen products will help you succeed at the job.
Overall, oxidation — the ultimate culprit — is caused by many factors, which, as hinted above, includes UV rays, pollution, and even salt. If left unaddressed, it leads to clear coat failure, after which it attacks the paint itself. Not sure what the clear coat is?
It’s the factory-applied protective layer meant to cover and protect your vehicle’s paint coat.
So today, I will be sharing with you the process of car paint restoration! Follow these tips, and you will be able to completely turn things around.
Absolutely. And I mean it. Thankfully, it takes a lot of wear and tear for your vehicle’s paint to become completely dull and your car to become unsalvageable.
In other words, car paint restoration is possible, and you can even do it by yourself if you’re up for the challenge.
A professional detailer can do it too, but it will cost a lot more. Apart from this, it’s a fun challenge to try, and the satisfaction you get from seeing your car shiny and fresh at the end is unbeatable. I recommend you try it at least once, and then make up your mind.
Car paint restoration is not a difficult process to complete, but there are some steps you need to take. As long as you’re patient and careful during each stage, you’re bound to get great results.
First, you’ll need to wash your car thoroughly. You shouldn't apply anything to it before a proper cleaning. A thorough wash will remove contaminants like dust, dirt, grime, and bird droppings.
Make sure there’s nothing left on the surface of your car anymore. For stubborn contaminants such as bugs and tree sap, Nexgen Bug and Tar Remover will be your best ally.
The second step of the car paint restoration process involves using a clay bar. Want to go the extra mile? Pick the Nexgen Clay Bar Detailing Kit which apart from the three premium clay bars, inside also includes three detailing spray bottles.
Use the detailing clay on the metal, painted areas, and glass surfaces. You’ll be surprised how, once applied, your car will already begin to look much better. It’ll also be smooth to the touch… smoother than it has been since the day you brought it home.
After you’ve done all this, you should polish off any of your car’s defects and remove signs of oxidation — granted, they are still reasonable. I’m talking about swirl marks, micro-scratches, and any other visible marks on the paint. For this part of the car paint restoration process, you can use the Nexgen Scratch and Swirl Remover, which offers a powerhouse of benefits.
Normally you would need a cutting compound and then a finishing one, but this product replaces both. If you have a dual-action polisher for this, it will be more convenient for you, as it helps you apply the product better. If you don't, a microfiber applicator pad and some elbow grease will work as well.
For the buffing process, use a slow arm and hand movement for maximum efficiency. Ensure the buffing pad you use is fresh — not old and beaten down.
Be patient with the entire car paint restoration process. Take every faded area and treat it with the compound until you see no more signs of oxidation.
Now here’s the kicker. If you don’t know this yet, you should learn that our bestseller is Nexgen Ceramic Spray — no wonder why! With its high 13% silicon dioxide content, the Nexgen Ceramic Spray offers unbeatable protection, taking the entire car paint restoration process to the next level.
If you haven’t used ceramic coating before, you need to know it’s, basically, a water resistant seal of protection that you can use on your car as an alternative to wax, and that also delivers exceptional shine.
A professional detailer can ask as much as a few thousand dollars for the job. But, you may be surprised to pay a completely different price when taking care of things yourself.
Using at least some of the products I’ve mentioned above, you can expect to pay somewhere around $200 - $250 and attain remarkable results.
Of course, every car paint restoration process will cost less or more, depending on the level of damage your car’s paint has suffered.
Owning a car is fun but also comes with many responsibilities. And, unless you plan on owning a vehicle until it dies, your current car’s looks and resale value can make or break not only your driving experience but also the transition to your next.
If your vehicle needs paint restoration, the key takeaway is to follow all the necessary steps above, and to invest in high-quality car paint restoration tools and products, such as the ones from Nexgen.
With enough patience and just a little skill, you’ll get your beater to look like the new boss in town once again. Always remember to follow the manufacturer’s instructions with care and to have all the materials you need ready to go.

In the meantime, take a look at these articles.
You like to care, fix, drive, and show your car to the world. And whenever needed, you are most probably open to trying anything to make it look even better, like learning how to apply ceramic coating.
Until recently, achieving glossy finish for car paint was expensive and could only be done in a detailer’s shop. Thankfully with the help of high-quality DIY products such as Nexgen Ceramic Spray, you can now keep your car paint in tip-top shape without paying more. With just a simple spray on and wipe off, you can enjoy long lasting protection and glossy finish.
If you’re unsure where to begin, don’t worry. This guide will show you the easiest way to apply Nexgen Ceramic Spray to your car, from start to finish.
Nexgen Ceramic Spray is a revolutionary professional-grade sealer. It helps repel dirt and water from your vehicle’s surface, while also protecting the paint from weather, scratches, dust, spills and any other element. Amongst similar products on the market, Nexgen Ceramic Spray uses the highest concentration of silicon dioxide, or SiO2.
Fun fact, SiO2 is the exact same substance that makes up one of the world’s strongest and most abundant natural minerals, quartz. You know what’s also made of SiO2? Glass. That’s why ceramic coatings make cars look so glossy; there is essentially a thin layer of glass bonded to a car’s topcoat.
With 20 years in the automotive care industry, Nexgen's proprietary formula of ceramics, silicon dioxide, and polymers has become the backbone of professional detailers and auto dealerships.
If you’ve never had the chance to use any kind of ceramic spray before, this article is for you. But before introducing you to Nexgen Ceramic Spray, I want to tell you a few things about the DIY ceramic coating process.
Hopefully, these tips and tricks will help you get the results you’ve been looking for, and didn’t even think were possible.
A ceramic coating is an additional layer applied to the car’s paint job to protect it from contaminants.
However, ceramic coating is not only about protection but also about shine. A good ceramic coating can erase a few years from your car’s appearance and make it look like it once did...like new. Or, in some cases, maybe even better.
When it comes to car care, many car owners stop at waxing. But that’s simply not enough, as wax is not primarily designed to protect. It’s created just for looks; to make your car’s paint look shiny and fresh. Once you try ceramic coating, you'll see how all the qualities of waxing tend to wane in comparison.
Learning how to apply ceramic coating will not only help you repel common contaminants like dirt and dust. Road salt, tree sap, insect guts, or grime will also be kept at bay, which means fewer car maintenance procedures. Or, at least, less frequently.
In fact, high-quality ceramic coatings like Nexgen also have hydrophobic properties, fully protecting your car from the contaminants commonly found in water.
All in all, when applied regularly, a ceramic coating will help maintain your car’s market value. If you decide to sell it, you’ll have greater chances of getting the price you want.
What you should know about ceramic coatings is there are two types of products you can find on the market. The ones applied by professional detailers and DIY products like Nexgen Ceramic Spray.
If you elect to choose a professional ceramic coating, you can expect exceptional results; but be prepared for a pretty big cost. Professional ceramic coatings must be performed by a certified detailer, as there is a chance of permanent damage to your car’s exterior if not done properly. However, if you want to cut back on the price but still like to pamper your vehicle, you can always do it yourself. When you choose a high-quality DIY product, the result will be very close to what you would get from professional products.
You may not master the process from the first try, but you can’t completely fluke it either. And anyway, this is why I’m here, to help you get the ins and outs of how to apply ceramic coating by yourself.
Thankfully, the process of applying Nexgen Ceramic Spray is quite easy, but you do need to prepare your car beforehand. For the ceramic coat to fully bond to the paintwork, you’ll need the entire painted surface to be clean and residue-free. This way, it will have complete coverage and create a permanent bond with the paint.
This means you’ll need to wash your car, clean it with a clay bar, and polish it to minimize defects.
Not only will this prep work help the ceramic coat bond better, but it will also prevent minor defects from showing. Ceramic coatings — or nano-ceramic coatings as they are also known — will tend to highlight whatever’s on the surface. If there are small scratches or swirl marks once applying a semi-permanent coating, they will tend to show even more, as if in the limelight.
So don’t skip any of the following steps and complete them in this exact order if you want to learn how to apply ceramic coating like a pro:
Before you continue with any car care procedures, you require a squeaky-clean car. Regardless of where you drove it by this point, your vehicle is most likely covered in dirt, dust, and who knows how many other contaminants. A deep washing session will help remove all these.
To clean your car, you can take it to the car wash — not an automatic one as it would damage its paint — or you can wash it yourself using the classic two-bucket method.
Fill one bucket with clean water and the other with soapy water. Be sure to use a car shampoo for better results. Do not use a sponge in any way, and go instead with a microfiber cloth or chenille wash mitt. Use the Nexgen Bug and Tar Remover for impurities too stubborn to simply come off if just shampooing doesn't cut it.
After you’ve washed and dried your car, I recommend using a premium clay bar. As I’ve noticed myself many times before, the clay bar is excellent in removing all debris that may have stayed behind after washing. Apart from cleaning your car’s surface, it also enhances adherence for the coming ceramic coat. Just make sure you have a good lubricant like Nexgen Quick Detail Spray to get the best results.
As you already know, any imperfection on your car will become more visible after applying the ceramic coating. This is why you should also give it a good polish before moving forward.
And while you most probably won’t have those giant buffers that professionals use, you can do the work with a dual-action polisher.
Minor scratches can also be removed with Nexgen Scratch and Swirl Remover and a microfiber towel or applicator pad, if you don’t have a dual-action polisher.
By using rubbing compounds and polish, the surface will be corrected — a crucial step if you want to master how to apply ceramic coating using Nexgen Ceramic Spray.
Before you hurry to apply ceramic coating, you should first lay down the foundation. In this case, it would be something like a primer — an Isopropyl Alcohol solution. This is an optional final step that will remove any wax or oil residues from the painted surface of your car.
Finally here! The ceramic coating stage. It’s not necessary, but you can wear nitrile gloves to avoid leaving marks on the paint. Also, make sure your car is completely dry at the moment of the coating.
Nexgen Ceramic Spray is quite easy to apply, but I still recommend that you only do one panel at a time for better results. This way, it will be easier to follow where you left off.
On each panel, apply our Ceramic Spray (a little goes a long way, you only need 2-3 sprays per panel!) directly to the paint. Then, with a clean microfiber towel, wipe the product over the panel using a back and forth motion. Avoid using circular motions. As soon as the product is evenly applied, flip the towel over to the dry side, and buff out any remaining haziness or overspray.
Work on every section thoroughly, with patience, and be sure to avoid oversaturation of your microfibers. The trick is to only use dry towels to avoid getting too much product onto the car. When I say a little goes a long way, I mean it!
All in all, using the Nexgen Ceramic Spray kit will be absolutely worth your time and effort. It provides not just a glossy shine, but also serves as a great protection against scratches and many natural contaminants.
Over time, once you learn how to apply ceramic coating you’ll find Nexgen Ceramic Spray incredibly easily to use, and you’ll love how this coating will make your vehicle easier to clean and maintain.

Considering there are always new items showing up in shops — and knowing just how difficult it might be to choose — we’ve prepared a list of the best detailing tools and kits on the market.
High-quality car detailing tools are necessary to ensure your prized possession’s beauty, durability, functionality, and longevity.
Some people think it’s okay to use ordinary cleaning materials or even household products to look after their vehicles. I beg to differ. Choosing professional detailing tools is a must for every car owner who wishes to DIY car cleaning, so make sure to read through this list until the end.
Some of these tools might require an initial investment. But, the benefits they can provide more than makes up for the cost as they will help you maintain your vehicle clean and groomed — increasing its longevity in the long run.
Before we get to discussing car care products, let's go through the basics of detailing.
For many, this term may still seem fancy, while, in fact, it describes a simple process, not to mention a necessary one, for that matter.
Car detailing is the process of sprucing up your car so that all its non-mechanical parts end up looking shiny and fresh. So what do you need to do this?
Nothing you can’t successfully find online or even in a local body shop. You can make variations in the different types of car detailing tools you choose, but the list should include:
Apart from these car interior cleaning tools, you’ll also need a shampoo for the carpets, a window cleaner, and safety gloves — so your skin doesn’t absorb any chemicals.
Although a professional detailing session may go a bit differently than an amateur one, it’s important to know there are similar features.
Sure, a car detailer may use professional detailing products, but all-in-all there are plenty of other detailing components that remain the same.
Professional detailers will also have microfiber towels handy, a bucket or two, garbage bags, a vacuum cleaner, safety gloves, and they also need to detail every nook and cranny. The only difference is they know what the perfect car detailing tools are.
And believe me, using these will make a world of difference.
Basically, it all depends on what you want to detail, whether it’s the interior or the exterior of your car. Even so, you’ll need different products based on the type of surface treated.
The dashboard will need a special product, while the glass will require something else.
Thankfully, the auto industry has enough detailing tools and products to care for all car surfaces. As it can be hard to choose amongst so many products, I've curated a list of my favorites — including, of course, our own range of Nexgen products.
Most of the products in this list are part of a kit that makes pampering your vehicle easy.
If you’re interested in detailing the exterior of your car the right way, then you can’t even think about skipping ceramic coating. But before you do it, make sure you clean the surface thoroughly with the Nexgen Clay Bar Detailing Kit.

The Nexgen Ceramic Wash Kit is amongst the best ones on the market. It allows you to use the included ceramic soap by mixing it with water and spraying it on your car with the Foam Blaster.
The Chenille Wash Mitt can be safely used without damaging the surface. The grip it offers is also great as it allows plenty of movement control.
For those of you looking to extend the car detailing tools challenge to their hogs as well, you’ll be happy to discover that the Nexgen Motorcycle Kit keeps everything looking dazzling.
It includes three products to keep your bike looking its best, a Ceramic Spray, a Ceramic Soap, and a Quick Detail Spray, but also soft microfiber towels that will help you complete the job with no scratches.
Wondering what it would be like to go with even more detailing supplies in one kit? You can try the whooping Armor All Car Wash and Cleaner Kit. There’s nothing really missing from this car detailing tool kit. It has every little thing you might need and nothing you wouldn’t.
There’s also more money to be paid upfront, but I suppose it’s worth it if you’re not buying anything else and stick to this kit only.
Once you finish with basic detailing, you might be in the mood to give your car some extra care with a bit of polish. The easy way to do this is by using the Chemical Guys TORQX Complete Detailing Kit. This kit is made of quality car detailing tools and the dual polisher is easy to use even by beginners.
The use of car detailing tools should also extend to more specific parts of your cars, which many times end up being overlooked — the wheels and tires.
The wheel cleaner included in the Chemical Guys HOL134 Best Complete Wheel, Rim and Tire Kit does a great job, and you’ll be excited to see that the brushes really help remove all the dirt bits stuck on the rims. The Protectant and the Wheel Guard keep the wheels safe quite a while after being back on the road.
If your car seats are dressed in leather, a great addition to your car detailing tools is the Adam’s Leather Care Kit,
The tools in this detailing kit are pretty straightforward. The products do the job without too much fuss and the conditioner offers premium UV protection for your dash, door panels, and any other hard interior surfaces. Once used, it will leave seats looking clean and nourished again.
Having the right car detailing tools in your checklist is one of the best investments for your prized possession. They can help you look after your car faster and easier, saving you huge amounts of time and effort.
My recommendation is to start off with any of the detailing tools I’ve mentioned above and start growing your list as soon as you see satisfying results. I personally think they’ll come sooner than you think.
